Yaxye bakery is a flour based products producer and produces bread, pastries and cakes in Somaliland since 2011.
The applicant proposes to expand his business to Puntland, partnering with a local partner there. The bakery will
be the first business to provide freshly baked bread, pastries and cakes in Garowe, Puntland. The business is
expected to be as successful as the existing business in Somaliland. The proposed project is commercially viable
and technically feasible. The business will lead to positive socio- economic impact for the community, it will
provide cheaper and fresh baked products to the local consumers. It will lead to import substitution. The business
will also create employment opportunities for the locals and create 12 new jobs, of which 8 jobs for women and
youth.
